Shareholder-EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors Tarun is the President & Chief Compliance Officer for EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors. As President, Tarun oversees the firm’s operations and business practices. As CCO, Tarun manages the firm’s compliance program and requirements as they pertain to the SEC & FINRA and monitors ongoing regulatory developments in the industry. Tarun also acts as the informal in-house counsel to EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors, assisting with document/agreement preparation, document review and other legal matters. Tarun holds a FINRA Series 65 license. Before joining EagleStone, Tarun was CEO of Outsource Compliance Resources, LLC (“OCR”), a SEC/FINRA Compliance consulting and technology/operations consulting firm. Previous posts held by Tarun include Financial Analyst and Chief Compliance Officer with R&M Wealth Management Services, LLC and Due Diligence Analyst at H. Beck, Inc, in Rockville, MD. Tarun was raised and educated in New York. He attended Bronx High School of Science, graduated cum laude with a BS degree in Psychology from City University of New York (CUNY) – Brooklyn College, and earned a dual JD/MBA from Fordham University. Tarun lives in Olney, MD with his wife and daughter.

Olac Pallan joined EagleStone Tax & Wealth Advisors as Director of Portfolio Management in our Wealth Management division in March 2023. Mr. Pallan serves as the team leader and client relationship manager in all aspects of Eaglestone’s Wealth Management practice. In addition, Olac is an integral member of EagleStone’s Investment Committee.

Olac is responsible for oversight of client portfolios to ensure alignment with our asset management philosophy. He advises clients in determining strategies to meet financial objectives, and communicates with clients regarding portfolio performance, overall market commentary and customized recommendations for each client’s goals. Mr. Pallan joined EagleStone with more than 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, most recently working with Deutsche Bank, New York, NY, where he served as Lead Portfolio Manager for Latin American offshore clients. Olac is an experienced, client-focused portfolio manager, and has broad and deep expertise in fixed income and equities, industry analysis, alternative investment options, debt capital markets, and deal negotiations. His career includes roles with several notable institutions including JP Morgan, Royal Bank of Canada, Martin Capital Group, Merrill Lynch, Citibank, and Credit Suisse. Olac holds FINRA Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses. Mr. Pallan earned a Master of Arts in Applied Economics from New York University, and Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autonómo de México. Olac is married with two children and recently located to the Washington, DC area from New York City.

Kevin Moody joined the EagleStone team in January 2022. As a Senior Wealth Advisor, Kevin assists existing and new clients with financial planning, investment management, and long-term goal attainment. As an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), he is a key member in aiding our clients with making the most of their resources. Kevin joined the EagleStone team from Bank of America Merrill Lynch where he spent several years advising clients on goals-based, outcome-driven planning solutions. Prior to this he was with JP Morgan Chase where he spent his time assisting clients in a variety of facets of their mortgage needs. Kevin holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses. Kevin was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ, and moved to Maryland in 2017. He attended Arizona State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History and Education. A lifelong athlete, Kevin played club hockey in high school, and continues to this day, along with rounds of golf and hiking when he can. Kevin is married and a father to two wonderful girls. Fun fact: he has a twin brother in Arizona who is also a father of two girls!

Daniel Reeves (DJ) joined EagleStone’s wealth management team in 2021. As a financial analyst, DJ works on process improvement and ensuring an exceptional client experience. He has earned an SIE® (Securities Industry Essentials®) certification and holds a Series 7 license. Prior to EagleStone, DJ worked for the University of Maryland Division of Student Affairs – Office of Development & External Relations, and the Bethesda Soccer Club.

DJ received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Maryland. While at University of Maryland, DJ was a member of the Terrapins’ Division 1 Men’s Soccer Team for four years, as well as a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. He credits his years as a student athlete with teaching him the importance of organization and time management in the achievement of goals.

DJ lived in Dallas, TX, and then moved to Maryland at the age of eight. He currently resides in Baltimore. In his free time, DJ remains a committed soccer player and fan. He also enjoys a daily run with his dog, an Australian Shepherd named Jazz.
